Good Morning America Visits Women's Animal Center

Women's Animal Center, America’s First Animal Shelter™ welcomed Lara Spencer and the team from Good Morning America on Monday, August 1st

Along with viewers from across the country, we celebrated "DOGUST", the universal shelter pet birthday for those beloved shelter dogs whose birth dates are unknown

Our adoptable shelter dogs were in the spotlight and some are still available.   If you are interested in adopting - please visit WAC's Adoption Center during regular hours.

Women's Animal Center was founded in 1869 and is America’s First Animal Shelter™.  In addition to animal sheltering and pet adoptions, WAC provides a variety of vital services to the Greater Philadelphia region including dog training, behavioral and veterinary resources, youth programming and humane education.   As part of its mission, WAC's Veterinary Hospital provides affordable high-quality veterinary care to families in our community, making pet ownership affordable and thus keeping more animals in their homes and out of shelters.  The hospital is among just 12% nationwide to be accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association.

Women's Animal Center is proud to serve our community.   Your donation directly supports homeless animals and provides essential resources to help shelter pets, including those with medical and special needs.   Thank you for your support!
